Cashier’s Check Poker Deposits – Money Order Poker Sites

One of the most commonly supplied deposit options at poker websites is Money Order or Cashier’s Check. This option is especially popular for online poker players who do not wish to share their financial information over the Internet, whatsoever. It is also one of the most frequently advised poker deposit options for US players.

Make a Cashier’s Check Deposit to Absolute Poker

Note that Absolute Poker currently accepts Instant Echeck Deposits.

When players deposit to poker rooms with money order or cashier’s check, they are going to have to wait a few days for the payment to arrive. However, being a pre-purchased check, there is no waiting period after the online poker room receives it. A personal check, on the other hand, would take much longer as the player’s bank must clear the check, lasting up to 10 business days.

Another benefit of Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks is cost efficiency. Money Orders rarely cost more than a dollar, and Cashier’s Checks should be free when received from your own financial institution. The only cost thereafter is postal mail service. Conventional mail is the cost of a stamp or two (depending on your location and that of the online poker room). Expedited delivery can be a lot more expensive, but can be worth it for larger deposits.

Since just about every online poker site accepts money orders and/or cashier’s checks, we won’t bother giving the usual list of poker sites accepting money orders and cashier’s checks. Instead, we’ll get straight to the typical process of depositing to poker rooms with a money order or cashier’s check.

How to Make Money Order/Cashier’s Check Poker Deposits
You’ll have to get some information from your favorite online poker room before depositing via money order or cashier’s check. Follow these simple steps to get started.

1. Log on to the poker lobby of your favorite poker room.
2. Visit the cashier and choose to deposit.
3. Select Money Order / Cashier’s Check from the payment methods. If this method is not displayed, look for a link to other available payment methods, then choose Money Order / Cashier’s Check. If you still cannot find this option, contact customer support.
4. The poker site will display an address to send the Money Order or Cashier’s Check to. If the address is not displayed, you may be asked to contact customer support for the appropriate address.

If at any time you are unsure how to deposit to a poker room with money order or cashier’s check, or if you do not see the option available, don’t hesitate to contact customer support. Not every online poker room states the acceptance of this poker deposit method, but most will accept them if you ask.
